Shakshuka is a North African specialty similar to the Italian dish Eggs in Purgatory (Uova in Purgatorio). This highly seasoned egg dish offers lots of favorite tastes – a quick homemade tomato sauce, soft-cooked eggs, and plenty of spices.
In late-summer, shakshuka is also a great way to incorporate some more garden bounty into your meal.
